Karnivool - Sound Awake [Album]

Lets get this out the way shall we? Karnivool make semi progressive, alt-metal and have drawn comparisons with Tool due to this. There are moments on "Sound Awake" that are Tool like. Ian Kenny does have a vocal style similar to Maynard James Keenan and there are some similarities in parts of the music. With that said, Karnivool lack the invention and scope of Tool and I would consider the comparison lazy and detrimental to both bands as they are entirely different animals despite the base similarities.
