GRAMMY-nominated BONES UK announce the January 24, 2020 Unplugged EP and performance film via Sumerian Records and available to pre-order on December 20, pre-save here.
The Unplugged EP and film feature 5 tracks recorded live from their self-titled debut album, including the GRAMMY-nominated track, “Pretty Waste” for Best Rock Performance. The Unplugged film was inspired by Nirvana’s MTV Unplugged and it includes the intro from the “Black Blood” music video. The stunning performance is captured in the band’s iconic black-and-white style and mostly shot with a handheld camera. It opens with Rosie and Carmen in the backseat of an eerie hearse going to a magically-charged location. Once there, they enter through a portaloo-vortex to an underworld with an audience of relatable misfits of cyclops, pigment, Ronald McDonald and half-man/half-shark beings who are the norm.

BONES UK will conclude their last show of 2019 this Saturday, December 21 at Bogarts in Cincinnati and will kick off 2020 by joining Korn and Breaking Benjamin on their North America Winter Tour that starts on January 23 in Allentown, PA hitting the likes of Québec, Montreal, Grand Rapids, Columbus, St. Paul, Boise, Portland and more, concluding March 1. The duo will pick-up May 1 at the Epicenter Festival in Concord, NC and Shaky Knees Festival on May 2 in Atlanta, GA with a string of dates supporting Royal Blood from May 3 through May 14. Their self-titled debut album released in July 2019 includes a cover of David Bowie’s, “I’m Afraid of Americans”, accumulating a total of 6.1 million streams worldwide to date and, earning them their first GRAMMY nomination in Best Rock Performance for the highly acclaimed song, “Pretty Waste.” The anthemic album magnifies beauty complexity, toxic masculinity and music-scene sexism with empowering lyrics. Rosie and Carmen had the freedom to record the album anywhere in an avant-garde form such as in cars, bathrooms, and basements to capture a specific sound and vision unique to Bones UK.
