Blood Command will be returning to London town for a one off show at London’s infamous Old Blue Last venue, Dec 5th 2012.
The Norwegian post Hardcore mob recently released their second album “Funeral Beach” through Fysisk Format to critical acclaim.
‘Norwegian quintet perfect the art of party punk brilliance’
‘Funeral Beach is the sort of album you hear and think ‘Holy Scheisse, Blood Command, where have you been all my life?’
Buy. This. Record.’
Metal Hammer 9/10
‘One of the very best albums of the year’
‘Blood Command have honed their ability to craft soaring, pop-punk-esque melodies with gritty, frenetic hardcore and the spiky rock’n’roll of luminaries like Kvelertak to perfection’
Rock Sound 9/10
‘Quite simply, it’s a brilliantly constructed piece of work. This is art: beautiful, bloody, schizophrenic art.’
Hit the Floor – 8/10
‘‘Funeral Beach’ is in many ways the shape of punk to come that Refused prophesised all those years ago. ‘The band’s sound is first class punk n roll with their own unique European twist.’
Thisisnotascene – 8/10
‘Uncompromising, snotty and refreshingly raw – this is unpolished but exuberant and will hopefully propel them into bigger venues and open them to a wider audience.’
Catch them live for their last UK show of 2012:
05.12 London, Old Blue Last (Shoreditch)

In an attempt to meet some new faces after the band’s relentless touring schedule earlier this year, Micky recorded an episode of ITV1’s dating show Take Me Out hosted by Paddy McGuiness.
With a legendary touring history supporting the likes of Motley Crue, Guns N Roses and being major festival favourites for the past few years, the glitz and glamour of prime time television certainly isn’t where you would usually find a rock n roller!
“When I was asked to be on the show, I knew it would put me up for a lot of criticism and controversy. But I figured it would be fun whatever the outcome and several million viewers getting a taste of some British rock n roll can’t be a bad thing!”
Things didn’t go quite to plan for Micky however, when he clashed with the producers of the show when his humour didn’t match theirs. Not one to shy away from controversy Micky gave the producers a headache with his ‘killer question’. In an earlier video clip the girls had seen a glimpse inside Micky’s flat that has quite a lot of pink décor. The question Micky wanted to ask was:
“So you’ve seen inside my flat and can see that I like the colour “pink” and my skin tone is obviously quite “brown”…. So what’s your favourite?….”
ITV1’s producers slammed the question as being too risky for the prime time show’s early evening slot and forced Micky to re-think his question.
Micky said: “Everybody knows how inappropriate I am, but it’s not as though I was being interviewed for News at Ten! The killer question I used is pretty lame in comparison and both Paddy and I are laughing at it on screen not because it’s funny but because it’s so embarrassing. But I met some amazing people, had a wicked time on the Isle of Fernandos and have totally no regrets!”
Dear Superstar has just finished a successful UK headline tour and release a new single ‘Change Yesterday’ on December 3rd. The video has already received over 17,500 YouTube views and is now on regular TV circulation. The band is currently writing new material that they are recording in early 2013.
Take Me Out airs on Saturday December 1st at 18:30 on ITV1 and Take Me Out: The Gossip on ITV2 at 11.30pm for all the debauchery they couldn’t show before the watershed.
RELEASED MARCH 4TH
EMI Label Services are proud to announce the release of Sacred Mother Tongue’s second album, ‘Out Of The Darkness’. The eleven track collection is a truly stunning piece of work, showcasing the band’s huge ambition and quantum leap forward in vision and scale.
A fascinating and cohesive body of work, linked thematically by lead singer Darrin South’s journey through depression into a new realisation of happiness, ‘Out Of The Darkness’ is as bold and beautiful an example of superlative songwriting and epic drama as you’re likely to hear in 2013.
Created by all four members of the band, the album sees Darrin step to the fore as one of Britain’s premier rock vocalists, replacing his screams of yore with a more melodic approach, perfectly complemented by the world-class guitar skills of Andy James. With Lee Newell and Josh Gurner’s inventive powerhouse rhythm section underpinning each track, ‘Out Of The Darkness’ is a masterclass showcase in creating an album of true light and shade.
Produced by Scott Atkins (Behemoth/Sylosis/Cradle of Filth) the album hints at the power of Metallica, the melody of Alter Bridge, the darkness of Alice In Chains and the visceral edge of Machine Head, whilst bringing a uniquely British sensibility to these stadium-rocking influences.
‘Out Of The Darkness’ follows the massively acclaimed release of their EP ‘A Light Shines’ in September of this year which provided a taster for the full-length masterpiece to come.

Ghost to headline the
Jägermeister Music Tour 2013
Jägermeister is proud to announce its third Jägermeister Music Tour in March 2013. The six-date tour will be headlined by the mysterious cult known as GHOST.
The secretive Swedes were spewed out of the bowels of hell and into ears of music fans with the release of their “Opus Eponymous” in late 2010, a collection of pulsating heavy rock that has won over fans and critics alike, cementing their destiny as the next big thing in rock. The Jägermeister Music Tour is their first major headliner run in this country, and the perfect vehicle for Papa Emeritus and his Nameless Ghouls to spread their diabolical message of evil and thus bring about the collapse of humanity.
Two of metal’s heaviest hitters join GHOST to provide support. Hot off a sold-out tour of the UK earlier this month, French metal goliaths GOJIRA return to devastate the crowds with the hulking riffs, polyrhythmic pummelling and blood-chilling growls that their though provoking brand of metal offers. One of the most frighteningly tight live acts out there, GOJIRA are a must-see for any fan of loud, heavy music
The touring line up is completed by hotly-tipped UK metallers THE DEFILED who are part of the Jägermeister UK music programme. Possibly the hottest band on the British metal scene, THE DEFILEDwin over fans everywhere they play with their simultaneously crushing and melodic, brutal and beautiful industrial metal and a live show that is second to none.
A local support will be announced for each show in the coming weeks.
Monday 18th March – Sheffield O2 Academy
Tuesday 19th March – Glasgow O2 Academy
Wednesday 20th March – Bristol O2 Academy
Friday 22nd March – Bournemouth O2 Academy
Saturday 23rd March – Birmingham O2 Academy
Sunday 24th March – Brixton O2 Academy
Last year’s tour saw Skindred, Therapy? & Black Spiders play to over 12,500 music fans as they flocked to sold out shows up and down the country, including a ram-packed O2 Academy Brixton in London on Friday 13th April, and this year’s tour is set to repeat the success of the 2012 run.
At an incredible one off price of just £5.00 per person – thanks toJägermeister subsidising admission – and with a mighty metal meal of a line-up, tickets for the 2013 Jägermeister UK Music Tour are likely to sell out very quickly.
Tickets will be available from 9am on November 30th from ticketweb.co.uk or 0844 477 2000. (18+ only)
Gojira said: “We can’t wait to get back to the UK and kick some more ass!!! The fans in the UK give off some of the best energy, and we’ll be right there to give it back”
Stitch D, vocalist of The Defiled added:
“We’re over the moon to announce we will be a part of next years Jägermeister music tour. This will be the 3rd year we’ve been a part of it and this year will be the biggest and the best one yet! And to be on the same bill as probably our favourite band at the moment, Ghost, and the mighty Gojira is an absolute honour! Can’t wait! Bring on the Jäger!”

STRATOVARIUS TO RELEASE NEW STUDIO ALBUM
‘NEMESIS’ WILL BE RELEASED ON FEBRUARY 22ND 2013 VIA EARMUSIC
PLUS LIMITED EDITION EP ‘UNBREAKABLE’ TO BE RELEASED ON JANUARY 25TH 2013
earMUSIC is proud and very happy to announce the release of‘Nemesis’ the new studio album by Stratovarius, to hit the stores as standard 11-track edition as well as 13 track special edition on February 22nd, 2013. A taste of the new studio album can be enjoyed with theLimited Edition EP ‘Unbreakable’, released on January 25th, 2013.
Stratovarius are hailed as one of the most influential and successful Symphonic Metal bands in the world and they have managed to establish themselves as one of the metal scene’s heavy names. The new album ‘Nemesis’ unites all the best traits of the band’s melodic, powerful, fresh and technically elaborated metal, all spiced up with an incredible sense for melody.
The album was produced and mixed by Matias Kupiainen and mastered by Mika Jussila from Finnvox studios, who has a long history with the band.
To shorten the waiting period for the album, January 25th, 2013 finds the release of the limited edition EP ‘Unbreakable’. It features five songs: the new album leading track ‘Unbreakable’ and a selection of four songs from previous albums, remastered by Mika Jussila. Songs like ‘Falling Star’ (taken from ‘Polaris’) and ‘Freedom’ (taken from ‘Infinite’) show a different, catchy side of Stratovarius and guide the way to the new masterpiece ‘Nemesis’.
Matias Kupiainen about the new song: “’Unbreakable’ is a very important song to me and the lyrics have a lot of personal meaning. Sometimes you can snap out of your day to day fog and see what is important. And when you are in that special moment, when you have that special feeling, you are invincible, unbreakable; you should really stop and enjoy the feeling. Even, if the whole world falls apart tomorrow.”
Timo Kotipelto adds: “This album has a darker and more modern sound. We, as a band, have gone through a lot and we have matured as songwriters. The making of this album was easier than before, because we could give it as much time as needed.”

VENOMOUS MAXIMUS TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM
‘BEG UPON THE LIGHT’
ON FEBRUARY 4TH 2013
Texas occult metal band VENOMOUS MAXIMUS will release its new album “Beg Upon the Light” on February 4th 2013 via Occulture Records. The award winning group recorded at Origin Sound in Houston with a head space described as “somewhere between a Alejandro Jodorowsky film and a New Orleans voodoo den.” Beg Upon the Light’s striking cover art was designed by artist Dann Miller and builds on the band’s ever-evolving thematic that involves, among other things, magic, alchemy, extra-sensory perception and astrology; wide-eyed themes that lay “on the outermost fringe of accepted forms of knowledge and discourse.” This is some heavy shit, people.
VENOMOUS MAXIMUS is one of the most successful metal bands to emerge from Houston in years, beloved of headbangers and headbanging blogs from across the U.S. and points beyond (maybe even astronauts). Since its formation in 2010, the group has become the go-to metal band in the country’s third-largest city, winning back-to-back titles at the Houston Press Music Awards as the Space City’s “Best Metal Band” and has shared the stage with the like-minded Mastodon, Pentagram, Saint Vitus, The Sword, Graveyard and more. Now, with the release of Beg Upon the Light, VENOMOUS MAXIMUS is ready to show the world that its reputation precedes it for a reason.
Beg Upon the Light track listing:
1.) Funeral Queen
2.) Path Of Doom
3.) Give Up The Witch
4.) Father Time
5.) Dream Again (Hellenbach)
7.) Battle for the Cross
8.) Venomous Maximus
9.) Mothers Milk
10.) Hell’s Heroes
“Texas cult metallers Venomous Maximus will appeal to fans of proto-metal bands such as Pentagram and Sir Lord Baltimore and current sludge fiends like High on Fire and Red Fang.” – AOL NOISECREEP
“The occult imagery might tip your expectations toward a blackened doom sound, but truthfully these guys are more of a traditional, uptempo stoner band. It would be unfair to say Venomous Maximus sound like former touring mates (and distant neighbors) The Sword, but it would be totally accurate to say that if you like The Sword this is exactly the kind of 70’s-drenched, weed toking rock ‘n roll that’s right up your alley. The riff is dominant, the mood is “let’s party”, the fists are pumping.” – METAL INJECTION
“doom-y guitars, witchcraft-obsessed lyrics…These guys basically take the modern form of doom-metal and drag it backwards ’til it sounds like it might’ve if Phil Lynott & co. had gone through a “doom period” prior to Think Lizzy’s demise.”
– SPACE ROCK CITY
“Iron Maiden via High on Fire…a kind of post-Mastodonic punk. Venomous Maximus could hit on an excellent balance of familiar and genre-defying, ultimately adding to their home state’s storied legacy of heavy. Recommended.”
– THE OBELISK
“This is some prime-evil, straight wicked mischievous type stuff. These guys know how to raise hell. Period.” – EXAMINER.com
