Bassist Adam Da Rat states:
“We are slowly ticking off our favourite bands one by one – Soilent Green, Lock Up, Biohazard, Nasum, and now PIG FUCKING DESTROYER. This is awesome. We’re on at 6.45pm so get down early, and buy Wez4 a beer ‘cos it’s his birthday, he likes beer and the last time we played in London with grindcore legends his wallet got nicked. ”

Teenage Cancer Trust at Warped Tour
In aid of Teenage Cancer Trust, Lostprophets are giving fans the unique opportunity to add to their setlist at November’s sold out Warped Tour UK. There are five songs to choose from via text vote (with proceeds going to Teenage Cancer Trust). The song with the highest number of votes will be performed by the band as they close Warped Tour UK on Saturday 10thNovember at North London’s iconic Alexandra Palace. The performance will be filmed exclusively by Punktastic and hosted on the site for fans to watch, so everyone can vote for their favourite.
The song options include ‘Lucky You’, which the band have only played once back in 2004 and ‘Broken Hearts…’ which was last performed live in 2008. Guitarist Mike Lewis says:
“All of the songs we picked – some of them we’ve only played once or twice live over the past 12 years – they’re tracks that a lot of people ask us to play. We figured it would be a big deal for us to choose these because it’s finally giving our fans the chance to dictate which one they truly want to hear most. Teenage Cancer Trust is such an amazing charity. Everyone in the band has had someone close to them deal with a cancer-related tragedy at some point, so it’s a cause that’s really important to us. We’re happy to support it in whatever way we can.”
The full song listings and text numbers are as follows:
LPS01 – Lucky You
LPS02 – Darkest Blue
LPS03 – Broken Hearts, Torn Up Letters and the Story of a Lonely Girl
LPS04 – A Million Miles
LPS05 – Weapon

“‘Turn It Up’ is just a fun song I wrote so girls could dance on poles to some heavy rock ‘n’ roll instead of hip-hop and pop dance all the time,” said THC leader and frontman Big Dad Ritch. “[We] pay a little homage to Pantera’s Vinnie Paul in the song, as well as sneak a lil’ Dime in the video .The song is really about being addicted to music. This music is powerful, in-your-face, full of attitude, outlaw Red Dirt Metal. After you watch this video, you will test positive for THC! NOW TURN IT UP!”

Worldly Band Takes on the Global Issues with Atlas
Global metal phenoms Parkway Drive have just unleashed a brand new track from their soon to be released, spellbinding fourth album, Atlas out October 29th via Epitaph Records. The new track titled “Old Ghost / New Regrets” takes listeners on the epic journey of life and death of the world today, complimenting the overall darker album theme that centers around the state of the Earth as we know it. Fans are invited to pre-order the album by going to the Kings Road merch page.
“Old Ghost / New Regrets” can be streamed by going here:
The new record is positioned to be the most highly anticipated heavy album of the year and follows 2010’s phenomenally successful Deep Blue, which debuted #39 in the US on the Billboard 200, #2 in Australia, as well as reaching solid Gold and winning the ARIA Award for Best Hard Rock and Metal Album and has since built steadfast momentum as a result of a groundswell of fan support in the US. Building on a record that was regarded as “not just a landmark album for themselves, [but] a milestone album for modern metal, (Metal Hammer),” Atlas cements Parkway Drive ‘s fourth album as their “hands down best yet and it’s also their most ambitious (Outburn).”
