NEXUS INFERIS encompasses a master design of future extreme metal. Savage yet imaginative guitar riffs and relentless battery churn at the core of this cold dystopian death machine. Surrounded and cursed by devices of sinister orchestration, dynamic textures and digital sound designs. Possessed by a vocal threat spanning both human and non-human spectrums.
The ‘Future Extreme Metal’ and Rock The Nation award winner 2011 released their debut album ‘A Vision of The Final Earth’ end of January and afterwards hit the road with Behemoth, Cannibal Corpse, Legion of the Damned and others on the so-called Full of Hate tour, where they let peoples jaws drop to the floor with their intense performance! On the very same tour the first official video for ‘The New Strain’ was shot, watch the clip here:
The band is confirmed to play Metalfest Open Airs, Extremefest as well as Metalcamp this Summer!

“Perfect 10…indisputably the defining symbol of alternative sonic culture in the UK.” – The Independent
All Tomorrow’s Parties has been promoting festivals and concerts throughout the world for the last ten years. It was founded in the wake of Belle and Sebastian’s Bowlie Weekender, with Mogwai curating in the unusual setting of Pontins Holiday Camp, Camber Sands. Since then the festival has appeared every year and has expanded across the globe continuing to set itself apart from large scale corporate festivals by staying intimate and fan-friendly. The line-ups are chosen by significant bands or artists which results in eclectic events that combine performances by legendary and influential acts with appearances by the latest crop of experimental artists from any (and every) musical genre. The festival has become more successful with every passing year, and ATP events have taken place in the UK, USA, Europe and Australia, with past curators including Simpsons creator Matt Groening, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Mike Patton, My Bloody Valentine, Portishead, Sonic Youth, Slint, and Tortoise. In 2011 ATP launched a new series of curated city-based events called I’ll Be Your Mirror, starting in Tokyo in February, London in July and Asbury Park, New Jersey in September.
For ten years ATP has set itself apart from other festivals by embracing seemingly disparate artistic genres, with events featuring art exhibitions, cinema programmes, spoken word performances and stand up comedy. It’s been called ‘Unforgettable’ by Spin and ‘the most enjoyable festival experience of our reporter’s life’ by Pitchfork. It has spawned an acclaimed concert series (Don’t Look Back), a record label (ATP Recordings), and the release of a feature length documentary about the festivals from Warp X, titled All Tomorrow’s Parties, out now on DVD. THE GREAT BRITISH INVASION 2012
England Rocks Hands across the Water
In the footsteps of Robert Leroy Parker & Harry Alonzo Longbaugh……
Aka Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid !
On 8/7/12, ChildLine Rocks is organising its second ultimate Harley Davidson charity motorcycle ride-and you are cordially invited! We will fly into Calgary to be driven down to Cranbrook in Southern British Columbia, home of Harley Davidson of the Kootenays. We are looking for 25 riders on 25 hogs: you can either ride solo, bring your squeeze or bring your friend. You can buy a seat, raise the money or both – we are looking to raise a minimum of £1000 per bike.
8 July: Depart London
Arrive in Calgary early afternoon and transfer to Cranbrook, meet the bikes, have dinner and overnight.
RIDE DAY 1 : 9 July
Cranbrook, Canada, to Whitefish, Montana 227 miles
Ride south and cross the border at Roosville to enter Montana. At Eureka, head west to join Highway 37 and the “Better than Sex Highway†. This famed ride is 69 miles long, and you need to keep your pants on- there are mountains, sharp corners and curves as we ride the edges of the Kootenai Forest along the shores of Lake Kookanusa down to Libby in the heart of Kootenai Valley. East to overnight in Whitefish. Dinner and chirpup, with grace to be said by Cowboy Ron – Chaplain to The Sons of Royalty.
RIDE DAY 2 : 10 July
Let the wheels roll and blow the cobwebs out…..
Whitefish to Bozeman, Montana 340 miles
Leave Whitefish and head southeast to Bozeman MT, passing through Flathead National Forest on the way. A full day’s ride to prepare us for something very special indeed. Dinner and chirpup.
RIDE DAY 3 : 11 July
Here we go
Bozeman to Cooke City, Montana 233 miles
Ride southeast from Bozeman to Red Lodge in southern Montana. Wrap up warm and depart Red Lodge west to join what is acclaimed to be the Greatest Ride in the USA-theBeartooth Highway ! Called “The most Beautiful drive in America†by the late CBS correspondent Charles Kuralt, this section runs between Red Lodge and Cooke City Montana. It traces a series of steep zigzags and switchbacks along the Montana/ Wyoming border to the 10,947 ft Beartooth Pass. The highest parts of the Beartooth level off to a wide plateau near the top of the pass, and then descend to where the Beartooth joins the Chief Joseph Highway near Cooke City which forms the northeast gateway to Yellowstone National Park. We ride through the Absaroka-Beartooth wilderness. Overnight, dinner and chirpup in Cooke City.
RIDE DAY 4 : 12 July
Take from the rich, give to the poor
Cooke City to Dubois, Wyoming 190 miles
Cross the border into Wyoming we head for Dubois, in the foothills of the Wind River Range. This ride will take us through the west side of Yellowstone National Park, the world’s first National Park signed into being by President Ulysses S Grant in 1872. From there we continue south past the spectacular Teton Mountains near Jackson, before heading southeast for Dubois in the foothills of the Wind River range. In 1890 Butch Cassidy made off with $21000 from a robbery in Colorado and used the proceeds to purchase a ranch in Dubois. Legend has it that the ranch was used for more clandestine operations, and in 1894 Butch was arrested for horse stealing in Lander. According to local lore, Butch was much loved in Lander and maintained a reputation for stealing from the rich and giving to the poor. Throughout his wanderings, the Wind River mountains remained a sanctuary for him and other members of the Hole in the Wall Gang. Here’s a reason why: The Wind River Range is the highest section of the Rocky Mountains in America, sporting 40 peaks over 13,000 ft and home to the headquarters of NOLS (National Outdoor Leadership School). Absolutely stunning. Maybe time to get your hiking boots on for supper? Dinner and chirpup.
RIDE DAY 5: 13 July
Our destiny lies south
Dubois to Vernal, Utah 298 miles
We follow the trails of the Hole in the Wall Gang. Cross over the border into Utah, via the spectacular Ashley National Forest and the Flaming Gorge. This is one of the most breathtaking rides in Utah, and we are riding into Dinosaur country. We ride through Aspen forested hills, red rock canyons and beautiful overlooks of the Flaming Gorge Reservoir. This is where the Dinosaur National Monument is based, and where major prehistoric finds have been made. As we ride these roads, the landscape will turn from green to orange and yellow. Expect heat. Dinner and chirpup.
RIDE DAY 6: 14 July
Keep your nose in the wind, your eyes on the horizon
Vernal to Park City, Utah 145 miles
It just gets better. Today we ride west to connect with the Wolfcreek Pass Loop and the Alpine Scenic Highway. In 1969 a little known actor caught his big break, and used the proceeds to reinvest into a showcase for his craft-in the location of where the film was shot. To quote the man himself: “This place in the mountains, amid nature’s casualness towards death and birth, is the perfect host for the inspiration of ideas: harsh at times, life threatening in winters of destruction, but tender to the details of every petal of every wildflower in the spring”€ , Robert Redford, owner of the Sundance Resort and aka The Sundance Kid. To finish the day, we ride into Park City-home of the Sundance Festival. More dinner and chirpup.
15 July : Day at Leisure
Free time and England Rocks-Hands across the Water Concert.
16 July : Homeward bound
Coach to Salt Lake City airport for overnight flight to London.
17 July : Arrive in London
Route to be recced, the itinerary is subject to change.

BRUTAL BRUMMIE LEGENDS AND ZT THEART’s NEW BAND CONFIRM BOA APPEARANCES
BLOODSTOCK OPEN AIR can reveal another two names for the main RONNIE JAMES DIO stage this summer’s festival that encapsulates the range of talent on offer, from legendary acts to the hottest new stars of the future.
Marking their third appearance at BLOODSTOCK, Birmingham Death Metallers BENEDICTION return to CATTON HALL , bringing with them a British Extreme Metal Institution. Over 23 years and nine albums, the ferocious five piece have been flying the flag high for UK death metal across the world, but seemingly there’s no place like home. Says the band:
‘To be invited back to play Bloodstock for the third time is truly an honour for Benediction. Bloodstock was the first festival to give us (and our genre of music) any exposure on the big stage in the UK and gained Benediction a lot of new supporters because of their faith in us. We are really looking forward to playing our racket for the Bloodstock crowd who have been very loud and supportive of us each time we have played .The best UK festival, the best crowd, the best atmosphere. See you all at the bar after the carnage !’
Since parting ways with Dragonforce, former frontman ZP THEART has been quiet – until now. Last week the first new track from I AM I went online, and this week BLOODSTOCK is proud to reveal that they will host ZP’s festival comeback with new band I AM I, giving UK festivalgoers their first chance to see the new project.
‘We are delighted to be appearing at this year’s Bloodstock, the UK’s premier Metal festival and we can’t wait to see you all there. It’s going to be a very special show and we are completely stoked for it. Bring it on!’
Boasting exclusive headline sets from ALICE COOPER, BEHEMOTH and one more very special set to be announced at 6pm on 6th June, even more exclusive appearances from the likes of TESTAMENT, DIMMU BORGIR, HATEBREED, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, NILE, CROWBAR and countless others, BLOODSTOCK OPEN AIR is an essential date in any self-respecting metalheads calendar.

London based Symphonic metallers PYTHIA have revealed details of their latest single, a double A Side featuring tracks ‘The Circle’ and ‘Just A Lie’. The single will be released via the band’s own Golden Axe Recordings on April 30th.
A stunning video has been made to accompany ‘The Circle’, which vocalist Emily Ovenden discusses here:
“The Circle is the song that sums up many of the ideas behind ‘The Serpent’s Curse.’ It has strong imagery in the lyrics and we felt very motivated to make a video to accompany it. Luckily director Graham Trott was also inspired and we’ve made a video that we are very proud of. It was difficult to decide on one song as our next single so we’ve produced a double A side with a surprising bonus B side track. Just A Lie has been a stand out song since we started writing the album and we think The Circle and Just A Lie perfectly represent PYTHIA’s uncompromising approach to making inspiring music.”
Check out the video for The Circle here: http://youtu.be/tThW8JY9GMc
PYTHIA will appear at BLOODSTOCK festival August 9th – 12th 2012

Hailing from Las Vegas, GUTTURAL SECRETE will play their first EVER European shows at EXTREMEFEST, an exclusive visit in the year 2012! They offer insane music with impossible guitar riffs, and low, non effect vocals with a truly ferocious drumming straight out of hell, fast and pounding as f*ck! Their 2006 release „Reek of Pubescent Despoilment“, a jaw-dropping album, left the brutal scene speechless and devastated, the record was and still is regarded as the new hope in brutal death and highly praised. A serious highlight for all those who like their death metal brutal and the first time ever GUTTURAL SECRETE is gonna play shows on European territory! Be there and don´t miss the chance to see this overwhelming combo!
They are quite the prototype of a multicultural band: ARAFEL were founded in 1997 in Tel-Aviv by immigrants from the former Sovjet Union, and in 2009 German singer Helge Stang (ex-EQUILIBRIUM) joined their ranks! The fivepiece started out as a rather traditional black metal act which evolved quickly soundwise: they christened their sound epic war metal and had quite a breakthrough with their third album „For Battles Once Fought“ in 2011! Their mixture of folk, black metal and death metal moments is gloomy, heavy, melodic – and absolutely exciting! ARAFEL gained a huge following during 2011’s PAGANFEST tour, and those folks will be happy that their faves will play the 2012 edition of the EXTREMEFEST too! Watch the official album trailer here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bCkakuQuIMg
DEADBORN (EF Germany only)
Since they released their debut EP „Decades Of Decapitation“ in 2004, DEADBORN have become a household name in terms of German death metal! The brutal yet groovy and varied songwriting of the Swabian act reached new heights on their first full-length album “Stigma Eternal” in 2007 and the guys embarked on tour with prolific names such as DYING FETUS, CEPHALIC CARNAGE or GRAVEWORM. Finally, DEADBORN will return with their brand new oeuvre “Mayhem Machine Maniac” in 2012 – and with a tough-ass show at the German edition of the EXTREMEFEST this summer!
I CHAOS (EF Germany only)
I CHAOS is a death metal band from The Netherlands and their unanimous desire to thrash has resulted in a concept of sheer musical brutality. Last year the band has established itself as one of the top death metal acts of Holland with their debutalbum “The Human Repellent”, which got some killer reviews and quotes from some of Europe´s leading metal magazines, so you had better make sure to check them out at EXTREMEFEST Germany!
“One of the best recent brutal death metal releases” 85/100 (AARDSCHOK Magazine NL)
“I CHAOS have made a beast of an album” 93/100 (LORDS OF METAL NL)
RESURRECTED (EF Germany only)
RESURRECTED were already founded in 1993 with only one goal: to play brutal f*cking death metal! The first two albums of those German maniacs were highly acclaimed by fans and press and not only took them on a European tour but also overseas to play the infamous „Milwaukee Metal Fest“ as well as a small club tour. Punchy death metal straight out of the so-called „Ruhrpott“ at EXTREMEFEST Hünxe/Germany. And with their new EP called „Morbus“ they´ll surely kick your asses!
So far these bands have been confirmed to play EXTREMEFEST 2012:
Belphegor *the return of BELPHEGOR*
